Maybe it’s because of the large wooden table that makes it easy to talk and cook together. Perhaps it’s because of the professional equipment, the commercial stove, the large Berkel slicer that looks like it’s made for Tuscan ham. Maybe it’s about the fireplace, large and cozy. It’s so easy to gather around it like cats when it’s cold out, it warms its way to your heart. Maybe it’s just that at the end of the day, the kitchen in Poggio Olivo is the place where you want to spend most of the time.

THE POOL, JUST LIKE THE VILLA, IS HIDDEN BUT CLOSE TO THE HOUSE.

If you’re standing in front of the house, you can’t see it, but the swimming pool it’s right there. It’s just hidden to give you some privacy. It’s 12 by 5 meters, perfect for swimming enthusiasts who want to stay in shape and for those who just want to sunbathe on the many lounge chairs on the pool deck. On the warmest days, you can sit on the steps going into the water. And why not take a cold shower when it’s warm out, or a warm one when it’s cold, but you don’t want to get back to the house just yet. You can stay a bit longer and get a drink, that’s why we put a fridge right there.

Our breakfast is served at the kitchen table, or in the garden over the summer, the Poggio Olivo breakfast will forever be your happy place. Generous portions and several options, prepared with many of our own products such as honey, jam, and oil. Fire-toasted bread (along with coffee, it makes the kitchen smell like the breakfast of your dreams), home-baked goods, freshly squeezed juices, cheese, and deli meats. You just need to read your newspaper and enjoy the start of your day.

Calling the land surrounding Poggio Olivo is an understatement. Green meadows and flowers around the villa allow for plenty of room to enjoy the great outdoors at any time. In the smaller lounge areas surrounded by plants, you can find several dining tables to enjoy a meal in nature. To each their own: sun, shade, away from the wind or facing the sunset. As well as open spaces where you can lay down to read a book or do yoga (or take a nap), or play with the dogs. Around you are orchards, olive groves, and -somewhat cut off from the rest- the hive.
